Spirit of the Midwest 2011 Luncheon and Awards Program

Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) held its second annual Spirit of the Midwest Awards event in conjunction with the North Central Show. More than 100 WICT Midwest members and guests attended the awards presentation on Feb. 28, 2011.

The program honored three outstanding women in the industry with the following awards:

Rising Leader Award: Lisa Swan, Marketing Manager, Sportsman Channel
Woman in Technology Award: Erin Lorenz, Director of IT and HR Applications, SuddenLink Communications
Spirit of the Midwest Award: Marsha Humphreys Gee, VP, IT/Billing, SuddenLink Communications

David Tashjian, Comcast Twin Cities VP sales and marketing hosted the awards luncheon and program, and Susan Adams Loyd, president and general manager of Clear Channel Outdoor, Minneapolis/St. Paul Division, moderated a lively panel discussion with the three award winners. The panelists discussed their leadership perspectives while working in this dynamic industry.
